Back in 2020, host Richard Osman captivated audiences nationwide with his gripping crime novel series, The Thursday Murder Club.

Jump ahead five years and the debut book is now being adapted into a full-length movie, featuring stars like Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie and Helen Mirren, who became emotional during filming.

The movie centres on a group of retirement home residents living in a peaceful village who tackle unsolved murder cases as a hobby.

However, things get complicated when they become entangled in an actual investigation.

With production beginning last year, fans won't have to wait much longer as the film arrives in UK cinemas on August 22 before becoming available on Netflix from August 28.
