A Glasgow woman has spoken of her heartbreak after her brother died of a brain tumour, just months after she was diagnosed with one.
Gemma Adam, 34, was diagnosed with a large brain tumour after years of struggling to cope with debilitating headaches and hemiplegic migraines.
She was referred for an MRI at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after a stand-in GP recognised her symptoms had changed, reports Glasgow Live.
Just six days after her scan, she discovered she had a 21mm low-grade pituitary tumour which destroyed her pituitary gland and was pressing on her optic nerve.
Gemma revealed her brother Andrew Adam, as well as the rest of her family, were extremely worried following her diagnosis.
