Black Sabbath's final gig at Villa Park boosted the West Midlands' economy by nearly £30million, experts say.

New University of Birmingham analysis found the heavy metal band's Back to the Beginning concert on July 5 contributed £33.8m to the UK economy and £27.6m locally.

Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne died just 17 days after the charity gig - but the university said he had "left a significant economic impact on his hometown and region".

Birmingham's favourite son died on July 22 following a long health battle.
