A late-night row ended with a woman being threatened with what she thought was a real handgun. ‌

It turned out that Connor Campbell had been brandishing a BB gun. ‌

Campbell, 28, of Omoa Road, Cleland, still landed in the dock at Hamilton Sheriff Court. ‌

He admitted threatening or abusive behaviour in Newark Drive, Wishaw, on September 18 last year.

Campbell also admitted possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause the woman to believe that violence would be used against her.

Rebecca Clark, prosecuting, said the accused and the woman were in neighbouring gardens when a row developed around half-past midnight. Article continues below
