A flap on the wing of a Delta Air Lines jet partially detached before the aircraft landed in Texas on Tuesday.

Flight 1893, a Boeing 737, was en route from Orlando International Airport in Florida to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas when passengers noticed a section of the wing had come loose.

A passenger's video shows the wing flap hanging loose during the flight, swaying behind the wing as the jet sped through the air thousands of feet above the ground, according to KXAN. Flaps are panels along the rear edge of an aircraft's wing that extend to aid with takeoff and landing.

Delta Air Lines said in a statement to CNN that after landing "it was observed that a portion of the left wing's flap was not in place. The aircraft has been taken out of service for maintenance."
