A 55-year-old man has died after a road accident involving a motorbike and a car.
The collision near Mennock in Dumfries and Galloway closed the A76 for several hours.
The man riding the bike was airlifted to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the accident on Monday evening, however he passed away on Wednesday.

The man’s bike Yamaha FZ1 Fazer motorbike was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall Antara around 6.50pm. The 45-year-old woman driving the car was uninjured.
The road was closed until 3am on Tuesday morning to allow investigation work to be carried out.
