But Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) is still pressing the conspiracy theory, telling a right-wing host that he sees a “path to indictments” against Obama and top intelligence officials like James Clapper and John Brennan—despite years of evidence confirming Russian operatives interfered in 2016 on Trump’s behalf and no credible indication of wrongdoing by Obama.
