Things aren't looking good for Cloud Chamber, as Take-Two, its parent company, has laid off 30% of its employees. The studio had around 250 employees, of whom 80 were laid off.

Layoffs have become commonplace in the industry in recent years, this time the victim was Cloud Chamber. The studio in charge of creating the next Bioshock game lost a third of its employees. The news was released through a Bloomberg report , by Jason Schreier.

A game that seems to never arrive

With this round of layoffs, it appears that the already lengthy development of Bioshock will be extended. The title has been in the works since 2014, following the release of Bioshock Infinite in 2013. Since then, the game has undergone several restructurings and changes in studios and leadership.
