HBO Max’s medical drama “The Pitt” has been renewed for a second season, but not all cast members will be clocking in for the next shift.

Tracy Ifeachor , who played Dr. Heather Collins during season 1, won’t return for season 2, Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed to NJ.com in July. The show’s star, Noah Wyle (Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch), told Deadline that Ifeachor’s departure had nothing to do with the actress herself, but with the direction of season 2.

“We’ve all been sort of amused by the speculation about what everybody thinks might be a reason [for Ifeachor leaving ],” Wyle said “But truthfully, we loved the actress. We enjoyed having her with us very much. She’s gotten really big, and we will miss her.”
