If you're looking to plant some vegetation to attract songbirds, the good news is it's not too difficult to do! Birds use bushes and trees both for food—feeding off the fruit the shrubs and other plants produce, but also the insects that live on and around them. And they also use plants for defense, as a place to hide from predators and to build nests for their eggs.
