Batavia police are investigating the theft of an SUV and several vehicle burglaries that happened early Thursday morning in the Tanglewood neighborhood on the far west side of the city.

Police responded at 3:37 a.m. to the 2400 block of Bird Lane for a vehicle theft. The victim said a white 2024 Toyota Highlander was stolen from their driveway. A security video shows it was taken around 2:11 a.m.

The car burglaries happened on the 2500 block of Bird and the 800 block of Twin Elms Lane. There was no forced entry.

Police say the suspects arrived in a small, white SUV.

They believe all the incidents are connected. Police said nearby towns have reported similar incidents, but did not specify which towns.
