Hawthorne Bridge users will need to choose an alternate Willamette River crossing during late afternoon and evening hours this weekend as crews work on the east tower.

The Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to all pedestrian, bike and vehicle traffic from 3 p.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23-24 and again 3 p.m. Sunday through 6 a.m. Monday, Aug 24-2. 3 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23.

Crews will be working on bearing inspection cap work on the east tower. Users should use alternative routes including the Morrison, Steel, Broadway bridges, and bikes and pedestrians can use Tilikum Crossing.
