NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- A former top aide to the mayor allegedly handed a reporter for THE CITY a potato chip bag stuffed with cash on Wednesday, the reporter told PIX11 News.

Winnie Greco, who is a volunteer for Eric Adams' re-election campaign, was at the launch of Adams' new campaign office in Harlem when the incident occurred.

Greco met with CITY reporter Katie Honan at a Whole Foods nearby, where she handed Honan the bag, which Honan described as a crumpled bag of sour cream and onion chips.

"I met her across the street, and as soon as I walked into the Whole Foods, she handed me the bag of potato chips. I sat at least three times, 'No, it's okay, I don't want them,'" Honan said in an interview with PIX11 News.
