CAITLIN CLARK has suffered a new injury on top of her groin problem.

The Indiana Fever star has missed several games this season through injury.

And she has now picked up an ankle injury to add to her woes.

Clark, 23, was already sidelined with a groin problem that has kept her out since mid-July.

The Fever have emphasized that Clark would still be missing from action without the ankle tweak.

A Fever spokesperson said: "There was no timeline or projected return to play so it's impossible to say if it was impacted.

"So it remains the same: to give Caitlin as much time needed to ensure she comes back fully healthy, which every day she is working hard to do."

Clark has experience with ankle injuries but she wears it like a badge of honour.
