Liverpool dealt injury blow ahead of Premier League clash against Newcastle

Liverpool secured a 4-2 win against Bournemouth in their opening game of the 2025/26 Premier League on August 16 at Anfield.

After starting off their season with a victory, the reigning champions will be hoping to continue their stride in their upcoming league match against Newcastle United on August 25, at St. James' Park.

However, there’s some bad news for Liverpool ahead of the game as their summer signing, Jeremie Frimpong, has been sidelined for a while after sustaining an injury.

Frimpong joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in May on a five-year contract and made his Premier League debut last week for the Reds, playing for a total of 60 minutes.
