Apalachee High School is preparing students, parents, faculty, and the community with resources and outlets as they approach the one-year mark since the school shooting incident.

On September 4, Apalachee High School will pay tribute to the lives of the students and teachers who were killed in the school shooting. Students and staff members will be offered wellness and mental health support sessions.

Students that come to school on September 4 will listen to inspirational speaker Chris Singleton. They will also spend time writing notes of appreciation to first responders, counselors, teachers, and others.

A community-led vigil will be held at 7 p.m. at the Apalachee High School flagpole and will be open to anyone who wishes to attend.
