Former Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan, who led the Florida Gators to two national titles and four Final Fours in a 19-year tenure, will be honored during Florida football's season opener against Long Island University (Aug. 30, 7 p.m., ESPN+) for his induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

Donovan went 467-186 in 19 seasons at UF (1996-2015), also winning six SEC regular season championships and four SEC Tournament titles. His 467 wins rank second all-time in SEC history, behind Kentucky's Adolph Rupp (876 wins).

After leaving Florida, Donovan has gone on to 10 years coaching in the NBA, where he's posted a 438-362 record with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls , with six playoff appearances.
