This weekend brings us zero major studio releases, but a whole lot of indies with divisive reception. Honey Don’t is the newest offering from Ethan Coen (of the Brothers Coen), but the reviews seem similarly mixed to bad as last year’s Drive Away Dolls . If you’ve been looking for more Dakota Johnson (so, maybe just me?), Splitsville is the indie pick for you. And if you had told me a film directed by Ron Howard and starring Vanessa Kirby, Ana de Armas and Jude Law was going to be released by Vertical, of all studios, a year after premiering at TIFF, I would have been... very surprised. But here we are!
