EATS GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Most beach and boating forecasts this summer have been hot, humid, and dry!

Both Holland and Muskegon are are falling within the top five warmest summers (June 1 through August 20) on record. That all changes into the last week of August.

FALL WEATHER INBOUND

Temperatures are expected to take a dive this weekend, beginning on Sunday. High temperatures are expected to be in the low 70s.

Early next week doesn't show much improvement either. Monday and Tuesday are expected to be the coolest days of the week with highs in the mid 60s. This is just one reason why beachgoers may be disappointed this weekend.

As a cold front swings through Saturday, temperatures take a dive and scattered showers make a return.
