Council passed a motion to have staff develop a strategy to ensure residents have access to ways to keep cool during extreme heat, including heat-mitigating infrastructure, access to sufficient cooling spaces, encouraging landlords to develop hot weather plans and door-to-door monitoring of vulnerable residents.
