An $85 million Hamptons estate that was once unofficially asking $150 million is back in the spotlight — thanks to a recent update on the Out East listings portal.

The property, at 635 Daniels Lane in Sagaponack — near the late writer Truman Capote’s former spread — was circulating as an $85 million “whisper” listing last year, as Gimme Shelter exclusively reported. By June 2024, it was officially asking $85 million with Corcoran’s Tim Davis. That’s the asking price it’s presently listed for.

The seller is a trust linked to Barton “Mark” Perlbinder, a third-generation member of a wealthy real estate family, Davis said. 5
