Election Day is Tuesday, September 9. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Four key positions are on the ballot. These include the mayor's seat and three city council seats for District 1, District 3, and District 5.

Early voting is available for two weeks. Voters can cast their ballots early starting Monday, August 25, through Friday, September 5.

The races for mayor and District 1 are crowded. Incumbent Mayor Michael C. Butler faces four challengers: Orangeburg businesswoman Jeanna J. Reynolds, businessman Darnell Johnson, Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce President James McQuilla and Orangeburg resident Gene Nelson are Butler’s challengers.
