(NewsNation) — Two health systems have reached settlement agreements in two separate lawsuits regarding the use of a popular electronic medical records system.

A number of health systems have faced lawsuits regarding the use of data from MyChart, which is used to track medical records and communicate with patients.

Two of those class-action suits are still accepting claims.

Mount Sinai settlement

Mount Sinai reached a settlement for $5.26 million after a class-action lawsuit alleging that the company improperly shared data with Facebook.

Patients at Mount Sinai who logged into MyChart between Oct. 27, 2020, and Oct. 27, 2023, are eligible for a payout. There are estimated to be 1,314,147 people in the class and the amount of a payout has not yet been determined.
