WHEN Muireann McColgan found out she had terminal cancer, her legs turned to jelly.

The 39-year-old had only just given birth to her first baby two weeks before - a daughter, Aobh, on October, 7 2023.

At first, she had found a lump in her left breast when she was 31 weeks pregnant, which doctors said was likely a blocked milk duct.

But two weeks after giving birth, having also experienced back pain, it was discovered she had stage four terminal breast cancer

Now, Muireann is focusing all her energy on planning her family's future - and what life might look like without her.
