SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady County District Attorney's Office announced that 56-year-old Jeffrey Bashaw was found guilty before Judge Lorraine Diamond on Wednesday for his role in the death of Leroy Chisom in 2023. Bashaw was convicted of second-degree murder as well as several counts of criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.
Bashaw was found guilty of working alongside a partner, Kevin Dingle, to repeatedly shoot and kill Chisom, 43, in an execution-style murder at a boarding house on the 700 block of State Street in Schenectady on October 22, 2023. The two were identified and arrested by Schenectady Police later that day.
Further investigation led to detectives recovering two firearms discarded near Dingle’s home. Lab analysis confirmed
