BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — Two people have been arrested in connection to a homicide in Bullhead City, according to authorities.

The Bullhead City Police Department said Tyler Rey Nelson, 21, and his mother, Toni Marie Sierra, 40, are both facing charges after a 58-year-old woman was shot multiple times.

The shooting happened on Wednesday on Holly Street, police said.

"Detectives determined that Nelson and Sierra went to the Holly Street residence to confront a resident about stolen property," police said. "During the confrontation, Nelson reportedly shot the homeowner."

Police said the victim was taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center and later transferred to a Las Vegas hospital, where she died.
