HOUSTON (KIAH) — Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward is facing a lawsuit filed by the woman he allegedly assaulted, according to reports.
According to ESPN, the woman filed the suit against Ward in Harris County District Court on Wednesday. Ward is facing a felony domestic violence charge in Montgomery County.
The woman, who is seeking $20 million in damages, claims in the suit that not only that she was assaulted by Ward several times, but also said he was under the influence of meth around her and their 3-year-old child.
Tony Buzbee, who represented several women who accused former Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct, is representing the woman in this case.
Ward has been out of Texans camp with a foot injury he suffered in the offseason. He was also arrested again la
