SNOWVILLE, Utah — A motorcyclist died Thursday morning when it was rear-ended by a semi-truck hauling cattle on Interstate 84 north of the Utah border, officials say.
The 61-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri, was riding a Harley-Davidson eastbound at 5:20 a.m. at milepost 263 when the vehicle was hit by an eastbound Freightliner driven by a 48-year-old Oakley man, according to the Idaho State Police. The motorcycle rider, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.
All eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately eight hours, and the Idaho State Police is investigating the incident.
