Police on Thursday arrested a Camden man and charged him with possessing sexually explicit material, which under state statute applies to images of children under the age of 16.
Maine State Police with help from Damaricotta and Camden police departments arrested Thomas Karod, 56, without incident based on an investigation and an arrest warrant obtained from a judge, state police Lt. Aaron Turcotte said in a news release.
Karod’s bail was set at $500 cash with conditions not to use the internet or have contact with children under the age of 18.
