If Mary F. DeCosta were alive today, she’d be ecstatic.

That was the overall general feeling for all those who participated in Sunday’s 14th annual Frontline Ministry Motorcycle Ride for Freedom. This year’s event, which was altered a bit because of the shutdown of the Mt. Hope Bridge earlier in the week, was dedicated to the memory of Mary, who passed away six months earlier at the age of 95.

This year, riders enjoyed a picturesque trip through neighboring communities and parts of Massachusetts, led by local police departments and their motorcycle units. In each of the previous 13 rides, Ms. DeCosta had a hand in its success.
