BATTLE CREEK, MI – Nobody was injured in a shooting in Battle Creek on Wednesday afternoon.
The Battle Creek Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on Freedom Lane shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 20, according to a news release from the department.
Officers located three shell casings and one spent bullet in a nearby parking lot. There were no injuries reported, but the rear window was shot out of an SUV that was parked.
Police believe the shooting was targeted, and the general public is not in any danger, according to the release.
