WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A series of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings comes to life in a new way in Wichita this weekend.

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience opens Friday at 3535 N. Rock Rd., Suite 100. Van Gogh's series on sunflowers was painted 137 years ago this week.

"He wanted to show the world what he felt. And a lot of the feelings that you will see are from the sad part is from his despair, his loneliness and his pain, which is projected in these paintings, which are so colorful and magnificent," Gautam Chandna, the senior vice president of the Exhibition Hub, said.

The exhibit utilizes two-story projection technology and virtual reality to offer a unique perspective on his art, one you have never seen before.
