LONGMEADOW, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A masked suspect is on the run after robbing a Longmeadow bank in broad daylight

Country Bank located on Shaker Road, called in a robbery at around 4:40 p.m. Thursday afternoon, according to Longmeadow Police.

Western Mass News crews were there as law enforcement blocked off the area to investigate which they say, is still in its early stages.

We know everyone inside the bank during the robbery is safe and no one was hurt. Police say the suspect threatened to harm employees if he didn’t comply, then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police describing the suspect as a black man with a stocky build, approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10. He entered the bank with a black hat, face mask, black pants, and a white t-shirt over a black long-sleeved shirt.
