Ontario-based realtor Zain Merchant, said he was surprised to see his social media flooded with comments that confused him for a Calgary man arrested this week in a highly publicized ‘catch-a-predator’ case.

Merchant shares the same name as Zain Alnoor Merchant, the 37-year-old Calgarian charged with nine offences, including kidnapping a minor and fleeing police, after he was targeted by a group of youth in Airdrie in a scheme investigators described as “amazingly dangerous.”
