COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said it issued over 170 citations on Saturday as part of a crackdown on dangerous driving.

CSPD says it has partnered with multiple agencies to conduct speed enforcement deployments as it works to curb dangerous driving, including excessive speeding and illegal street racing.

During Saturday’s deployment, police say 178 drivers received citations from CSPD, along with one felony arrest for an aggravated robbery warrant, two trespassing citations and two misdemeanor warrant arrests.

According to CSPD, speed remains one of the most prevalent safety concerns within the city.
