Aurora Police Department officers handed out 22 tickets to pedestrians and six tickets to drivers in a two-day traffic enforcement operation with pedestrian safety in mind, police said Thursday.
On Wednesday, APD officers ran an enforcement operation along Colfax Avenue focused on pedestrians, citing and educating people not obeying signals and signs, police said.
Officers handed out 22 tickets to pedestrians who failed to obey signals and signs, six tickets to drivers who failed to yield to pedestrians and five other traffic summonses. During the operation, officers also made four warrant arrests and handed out three traffic warnings, police said.
