BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (WSIL) — Authorities identified a body found along a roadway in Stoddard County on Thursday.

The Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office said a body was found on the evening of August 18, near State Highway AB, just north of Bloomfield.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office, along with personnel with the Stoddard County Coroner’s Office, responded to the scene at 5:20 p.m. and started investigating.

Authorities said the man was identified as 46-year-old Michael Curry of Matthews, Missouri.

An autopsy was conducted on the body on August 21, by Dr. Russell Deidiker in Farmington. The sheriff’s office said no foul play is suspected at this time.

Assisting the sheriff’s office was the coroner’s office and the Missouri Stare Highway Patrol.
