With the Franklin River Road still being closed due to the Mount Underwood wildfire, people travelling to the Ditidaht First Nation have to take an alternate route which is along a difficult and dangerous road.
Dorothy Burn has relied heavily on the potholed road between Nitinaht and Bamfield during the nine-day-long State of Emergency at the Ditidaht Nation, as she and community members drive to get supplies and provide emergency food services for the 200 people living there without power.
