A man in Poway exposed himself to students on their way to school on Thursday morning, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The students, who attend Meadowbrook Middle School, told investigators they were walking to school on a trail behind the 13900 block of Pomerado Road at about 7:35 a.m. when the man flashed them and "made a vulgar statement."

Detectives, who are still working on identifying the suspect, said they were not aware of any other incidents.
