FOREST ACRES, S.C. — A lane at the intersection of Forest Drive and Trenholm Road is closed after a roadway plate shifted during the evening commute, according to the Forest Acres Police Department.

Police said the unusual incident happened Wednesday evening but caused no injuries.

Officers noted that, so far, there is no word on why or how the plate moved.*

Police say that one lane will remain closed until crews arrive to make repairs.
