CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Chaffee County Search and Rescue helped two dogs and their owners back down Mount Princeton to safety on Monday.

Search and Rescue crews said they received a call about a hiker with a dog in distress on Mount Princeton around 4:50 p.m.

While responding to the initial call, rescue teams said that a passing hiker told them that there was another hiker on the mountain who also had a dog in need of help.

Rescue crews said the team was able to assist all of the hikers and dogs back down to the trailhead by 8:45 p.m.
