VIDOR, Texas — Orange County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a 61-year-old woman found Thursday morning in Vidor.

Officers went to the 300 block of Foxglove Drive in the early morning hours after receiving a call about a woman found dead. Deputies discovered the woman's body when they arrived at the scene.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has not released the woman's identity pending notification of next of kin. Officials said the cause and manner of death will be determined following an autopsy.

The investigation remains active, according to sheriff's officials, who said additional details will be released when available.
