As kids, we would associate the night and darkness with monsters, scary things, and the paranormal. As grown-ups, many of us work night shifts. Apparently, nine million Americans are night shift employees, which is only 6% of the workforce, but it is still a lot.

Although night shift workers usually earn lower wages, there are certain unique risks they face. For example, fatigue, sleepiness on the job, and several other health risks.
