Hanover Foods covering vet fees for dog stuck in its cheese balls jar

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- When pup Dallas Cheddar found herself craving cheese balls, she probably never imagined the ordeal she'd end up in.

But on Monday night, a sighting of her with her head stuck in a clear snack barrel launched a search for the endangered dog that ended with a heat-seeking drone hovering above her in a cornfield.

“She was extremely tired from all the running around,” said Emily Egenrieder, a volunteer with Canine Rescue of Central PA. "We were amazed she was still able to move around and try to escape us throughout that day, throughout that evening."
