A 38-year-old man who was fatally shot outside a liquor store in Lynwood was identified Thursday.

Deputies with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s Lynwood Station responded at approximately 11:55 p.m. Wednesday to the 12100 block Long Beach Boulevard, at Cedar Avenue, where they found the victim, according to LASD Lt. Chris Oakley.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel, sheriff’s and Medical Examiner’s officials said.

He was later identified by authorities as Junior Menjivar.

Video from the scene shows a Mercedes-Benz with bullet holes and shattered glass on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
