Student production of The Third Wave runs from Sept. 12

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Little Theater presents a gripping student production of The Third Wave, a dramatization of a real-life classroom experiment that explores how people can be swept up by authoritarian ideologies.

It runs from Sept. 12 to 14 at the Reno Little Theater.

The Third Wave is directed by Bradford Ka’ai’ai and performed by local students.

In 1967, it was originally a classroom experiment conducted by high school teacher Ron Jones. The Third Wave explores the dangerous allure of conformity and power.

The Third Wave began as a lesson on Nazi Germany and quickly escalated into a chilling demonstration of how groupthink and obedience can erode individual moral judgment.

This stage adaptation captures the emotional intensity of the experiment while inviting audiences to r
