Tobey Maguire's iconic suit, worn in "Spider-Man 2" and "Spider-Man 3," will be auctioned off on Sept. 4. The suit was used during the production of both films and is believed to have been "heavily" used on set, according to the auction website PropStoreAuction.
Maguire donned the instantly recognizable suit for director Sam Raimi's trilogy from 2002 to 2007. "Spider-Man" debuted May 5, 2002, and opened to $114.8 million in the United States and Canada. It eventually grossed $825.8 million worldwide, according to IMDb.
The sequel has a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer and is regarded as one of the best superhero second acts ever. "Spider-Man 2" grossed $784.6 million worldwide, IMDb's page say
