CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning about someone using social media to rob people.

Police said three crimes have happened this month on the city's South Side.

Officers said the victims met someone on an app and then they agreed to meet, but when the victims showed up they were held up and robbed.

Chicago police said the robberies happened at the following locations and times:

- 12400 block of S. State St. on August 13 at 2:15 p.m.

- 1500 block of W. 111th St. on August 20 at 3:10 a.m.

- 11800 block of S. La Salle St. on August 20 at 4 a.m.

No arrests have been made as Chicago police continue to investigate.
