Crews work to put out building fire in Derby

DERBY, Kan. (KAKE) – Fire crews were called out to the scene of a building fire around 9:00 p.m. last night. They received a call about the explosion on the side of a building located on the west side of Derby in the 300 block of South Water Street.

Neighbors reported a loud explosion, but fire fighters were unable to confirm that it happened -- only smaller ones that crews on scene said were common with the type of fire they were dealing with were able to be confirmed.
