HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Temperatures remain in the 80s, but the 70s are on the way!

Happy Friday! Temperatures will warm up slightly, with highs in the mid to upper 80s. We can also expect mostly sunny skies, making for a perfect summertime end to the week.

This weekend will kick off with similar temperatures in the mid to upper 80s on Saturday. However, a cold front will sweep through Appalachia during the second half of the weekend, bringing rain chances on both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday’s high temperatures will only reach the low 80s.

As we move into the next workweek, we can expect temperatures to start feeling like fall, with highs only in the upper 70s. We will also enjoy mostly sunny skies as a high-pressure system sets up across the Commonwealth.
